Zhu Hai
Chinese, b. 1980
Student of famous contemporary Chinese artist Zhong Biao, Zhu Hai is a young and talented artist born in 1980 and graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with MA in 2006. Zhu Hai was awarded Luo Zhong Li Art Scholarship Award in the year of graduation, which he was made an outstanding young artist before the start of his painting career. He dedicated his early years paintings the series of 'Eyes of the heart' and 'Eye wild shut', and current series belongs to his more matured paintings created in 2013. All artists are philosophers, and Zhu Hai is no exception Through his paintings Zhu Hai wishes to share扣s life philosophies he learned through story-telling... problems he tackled include'how to define success','nothing is eternal', 'greed is infinite', etc. Zhu Hai often uses blue and golden yellow in this series to paint a wide range of things with different settings. The uniqueness of this series which needs to put forth must be his way of presenting one certain函ect transparent- the existence and non-existence; can be seen, can be iudged or vice versa.
Zhu Hai graduated from the famous Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with MA in 2006.
Zhu Hai's teacher is a world famous Chinese contemporary artist, Zhong Biao. His talents has been recognized by his teacher. Zhong Biao has written a thorough introduction of Zhu Hai's works.
Zhu Hai received the Marie Art Outstanding Scholarship in 2002.
Zhu Hai was awarded Luo Zhong Li Art Scholarship Award in 2006.
Zhu Hai was nominated as the year's best young artist held by Hotspot Magazine in China in 2009.
Zhu Hai's artworks have been shortlisted and showcased at the Alumni of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute Art Exhibition held at Suzhou Art Museum in May- June, 2013. The show featured oil works created by outstanding alumni from class of 1992- 2012.
Has had international exhibitions in major cities such as Hong Kong, Beijing, Suzhou, Guiyang, Guangzhou, Taipei, Tokyo and Milan.
