Liao Zhen Wu
Chinese, b. 1964
Born in 1964 in Sichuan, Liao Zhen Wu graduated from the famous Central Academy of Fine Arts and Sichuan College of Education. He witnessed and experienced the rapid economic development in China. At heart, Liao Zhen Wu better appreciates the tranquillity and the less urbanised areas that he was brought up in; there was more character to his surroundings then. His paintings are beautifully done, in particular his skilful techniques in creating dynamics and textures. They are powerful within. Liao Zhen Wu is more often inclined to use cold colours such as black, white, grey and teal. He believes these colours are good representations of the intrinsic characters of the world. The superficial world may appear to be delightful and energetic. However, the underlying disguised truth is that the world is a place of apathy and change, inevitable and uncontrollable.
Liao Zhen Wu graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, one of the most recognised college in China.
He has over 40 international and international group exhibitions such as Hong Kong, China, Japan, the USA and Italy.
