Qiu Sheng Xian is a famous Shanghai-based contemporary artist and the creator of "Mother and Son" and "Fuwa Integration" style of painting. He held a number of positions in arts and culture: Branch Director of Chinese Artists; Vice Chairman of Chinese Arts Association, etc, Qiu integrates classical Chinese Art with contemporary expressionism in the form of portraits of Chinese women. The vivid contrasts between the historical and fashionable, spiritual and material, and logical and contradictory are core to his work. It subverts the viewers' inherent perceptions and promotes a freedom of expression. It shows the infinitely nobleness and greatness of human spirit.

Qiu integrates oriental classic with modern concepts which has become his signature. The influence of his paintings has won recognition amongst both public and private collections. 

 

Qiu received a number of art award which includes The 8th national art exhibition - “Excellent Award”, Real Star 2012 Frankfurt Century Hall Award Ceremony - “The Most Shining Star” etc. 

 

Qiu has held a number of positions in art and culture by obtaining high honor and appreciation in the industry. 

 

Qiu has numerous of solo exhibitions around the world, which includes Berlin, Florence, Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong etc. 

 

Nowadays, Qiu’s works are globally collected by the well-known corporations and Art organizations including The White House and IBM Corporation.
